What are interpersonalskills? Interpersonalskills refer to interactions between people, especially those related to positive engagement with others, successful teamwork, and the ability to integrate into an organization. It typically takes a person with excellent interpersonalskills to create a cohesive team.
Digital environment – Where people buy people, the challenge of forging strong personal relationships becomes more acute when most communications are managed through digital channels. This has changed the sales process fundamentally in many environments.
Back in July 2020 I shared some research insights from my book “ Essential Soft Skills for Lawyers ” which generated significant interest – not least from the associated nine-minute video explaining “soft” skills featuring the Worry Monster. Take sales, for example; how many new skills are required today to keep up with the world of e-commerce or the new techniques of remote selling, distance selling and remote negotiation? InterpersonalSkills. The manager responsible for handling a company’s CX operations must have refined diplomacy, negotiation, and interpersonalskills. These skills are essential to strike a balance between all the stakeholders’ needs and their drives with available resources.
There are nuggets in each of these sections but they leave you feeling they lack real substance. One of the tips I did like was the need to check your emails for language – and whether it matched the preferred/lead mode of the recipient – as well as spelling and grammar.
