Collectively, workers are calling BS on “the way it’s always been done” in favor of flexible work and healthier work-life boundaries. In the future of work, employees are your most important stakeholders. Provide enablement resources like toolkits, seminars, etc. Quick temperature checks.
This is risky because employees come to the office to meet their colleagues and learn. The future of work is therefore not about the individual, but actually about the group. Should there be a home office obligation in order to work efficiently and sustainably? We should make sure that these employees are heard.
Imagine the following case: Three team members are sitting in the seminar room and attending the meeting from the office. For the participants at home, the meeting is over, but the three people in the room will probably continue to talk about the issues, perhaps even over coffee together.
